Joseph Kane Satepeahtaw, 21, of Carnegie, Oklahoma, passed from this life unexpectedly on January 2, 2023.

He was born on December 14, 2001 to Leland Satepeahtaw and Bessie Leigh Wolfe in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Joseph grew up and attended school in Carnegie, graduating from Carnegie High School in 2021. He was an avid member of the Kiowa Tribe. Joseph was a member of the North Spur Heights Hand Game team and the Kiowa Gourd Clan. He enjoyed attending pow wow's. Joseph loved being outdoors, always walking around with a smile on his face. He also enjoyed fishing. Joseph will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his father, Leland Satepeahtaw, Carnegie, OK; siblings, Bertalee Woodard, Carnegie, OK, Olivia Satepeahtaw, Carnegie, OK, Samuel Cervantes, TX, Leland Lavern Satepeahtaw, Carnegie, OK; nephew, Quentin Woodard Carnegie, OK; grandmother, Bonita Ahtone Tallbird, Carnegie, OK; grandfather, Malcom Tallbird, Sterling, OK; maternal grandmother, Paula Horse & Billy, Carnegie, OK, Darla Wolfe, Talihina, OK; maternal grandfather, Richard Yeahquo, Carnegie, OK, Charles Yeahquo, Apache, OK, Mike Yeahquo, Denton, TX as well as numerous aunts, uncles and grandparents

P\he was preceded in death by his mother, Bessie Leigh Wolfe; uncle, George Michael Tallbird, grandparents, Homer and Pamela Wolfe; and great-grandparents, Vernon and Juanita Ahtone, LaVern and Marie Satepeahtaw, and Paul and Juanita Yeahquo.

Funeral Service were scheduled for 1 p.m, on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Cedar Creek United Methodist Church in Carnegie, Oklahoma .

Visitation was from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2023, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, January 6, 2023, at Ray & Martha's Funeral Home in Carnegie, Oklahoma

A Wake was held at 7 p.m. on Friday, January 6, 2023, at Cedar Creek United Methodist Church in Carnegie, Oklahoma. Interment was in the Rainy Mountain Indian Cemetery in Mountain View, Oklahoma.

Services were under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home, Carnegie, Oklahoma.
